Aveshost Acceptable Usage Policy

This Acceptable Usage Policy ("Policy") outlines the standards of conduct required for the use of services provided by Aveshost. All users are expected to comply with applicable local and international laws. By using our services, you agree to adhere to this Policy in its entirety.

1. Legal Compliance

All services offered by Aveshost must be used solely for lawful purposes. Any content, data, or activity that violates Ghanaian law or internationally recognized legal standards is strictly prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Copyright infringement;
• Obscene, offensive, or threatening material;
• Information protected by trade secrets or legal statutes.

Clients agree to indemnify and hold harmless Aveshost and its employees against any legal claims or liabilities resulting from unlawful use of our services.

2. Policy Enforcement

Aveshost reserves the right to actively monitor and enforce this Policy. Offending users may be suspended or terminated without prior notice. However, where possible, we will notify affected users and explain the reason for the action taken.

3. Service Interruptions

Users acknowledge that service interruptions may occur due to factors beyond Aveshost’s control. In such cases, Aveshost is not liable for any direct or indirect losses or damages incurred.

In the event of company negligence, liability shall be limited to the equivalent amount paid by the customer for services during the affected period. Aveshost shall not be held responsible for any special, incidental, or consequential damages.

4. Prohibited Use of Shared and Reseller Hosting Services

The following activities are not permitted under Shared and Reseller Hosting plans and may require a VPS or Dedicated Server plan:

• Hosting adult or pornographic content;
• Uploading or sharing large files such as movies, audio, or images for download;
• Streaming media not integral to normal website functionality;
• Operating large-scale photo galleries or storing full-size, uncompressed digital images;
• Using shared hosting as an online file storage or FTP server;
• Distributing large multimedia files (e.g. MP3, MP4, AVI);
• Storing online backups unrelated to the hosted website (e.g., personal computer backups).

Aveshost reserves the right to remove materials at its sole discretion, without prior notice, if they are deemed to be in violation of this Policy or are consuming excessive server resources. This may include but is not limited to:

• Locally stored cPanel or CMS backups;
• Temporary files generated by backup tools such as Softaculous;
• Backup logs and other redundant system files;
• Excessively large error logs or files not directly serving website functionality.

5. Prohibited Activities: Phishing, Fraud, and Deception

Use of Aveshost services for phishing, fraudulent activity, or social engineering is strictly prohibited. Any intent to mislead, deceive, or exploit users will result in immediate account termination without refund.

Prohibited examples include, but are not limited to, impersonation or fraudulent representation of:

• Shipping and logistics companies;
• Banks or financial institutions;
• Law firms or legal professionals.

Aveshost employs proactive monitoring to identify malicious websites or domains. If such activity is detected, the associated account will be permanently suspended without notice.
